Camilo Séptimo is a Mexican rock band formed in 2013 in Mexico City. The band consists of lead singer Manuel Mendoza, guitarist Jonathan Meléndez, bassist Héctor Dominguez, keyboardist Erik Vázquez, and drummer Marco Alarcón. Their music combines elements of alternative rock, indie and psychedelic rock, and is characterized by melodic and melancholic vocals, hypnotic guitar riffs, and atmospheric keyboards. The name of the band is inspired by Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian's song "Camilo Sesto", with "Séptimo" added to reflect the number of letters in the band's name. Camilo Séptimo has released three studio albums to date: "Maya" (2017), "Óleos" (2018), and "Eres" (2019), all of which have been well-received by critics and audiences alike, earning the band a devoted fan base in Mexico and beyond.
